Dubai Mall Haul Trilogy: Kate Spade, Nyx, Lifestyle and more

Hello Lovelies!! Hope you all had an awesome weekend. If you follow me on Instagram you may probably already know that I was pretty busy dressing myself for my cousins engagement and then I just flew up to my favorite place in the world; Japan. I spent the second half of last week jet lagged and extremely exhausted.

Halloween just passed by and November has already arrived. Time sure does fly.

So finally I have come to lift my lazy bum and do the second part of my Dubai Mall Haul trilogy. Catch the first post where I did a MAC haul HERE.

So here we go….

Kate Spade has always been a store that has screamed ‘ME’ and therefore really fascinated me. I had been looking for a bag I like from them for more than a year now but clearly my picky fussy ways took all this while to find the right handbag.

I think I am officially on a Kate Spade phase in life. I don’t know how long that’d last for but its happening right now and  I am loving it.

Here’s my baby of the season….

Kate Spade Small Phoebe Emerson Place Smooth in the color ‘Spa Blue’ (quite the mouthful…)

It’s no big news that my favorite colors are blue and hard to find therefore when I set my eyes on these I was in love. Bags come and bags go but the last time I was this much in love was when I had gifted myself the Michael Kors Saffiano Satchel for my university graduation.

Also I picked up a few other cool stuff including these Johnson’s facial wipes. I just got it at the drugstore just to keep with me during all the travelling but it turned out the best thing ever to remove makeup. It does such a fantastic job in comparison to all the expensive makeup removers I have tried. I wish I had picked up a few more of them since I am already down to probably the last wipe.

Then I got this quote canvas from Hallmark for my room that is obviously themed ‘ME’ *just kidding 😉 *, and a bright blue Nyx mascara which I am not so impressed by.

I was looking for a good planner and found the cutest one at Accessorize.

While being on a Kate Spade phase I am also on a Argan Oil and Tea tree kind of phase. I had heard so much about the Ogx hair products so picked up this shampoo and condition to try. I will be reviewing them as soon as I can,

That was all for this haul but watch out for my huge crazy Sephora haul which will conclude this Haul Trilogy.

Let me know what you think of this haul and if you have used any of these products in the comments below.

Have a great week and stay happy! :*

Tech Accessories

Tech Accessories

Half my essays begin with something about the technological advancement in the world today that has led to media being a very significant part of our lives. The advancement is such that today we carry access to the “media” and perhaps two-thirds of our life compacted in one rectangular object. If my description is giving you a head ache… Cut short… I’m talking about the smart phone.
I don’t know if it’s one of those Japan side effects or just me growing up but the iPhone literally carries my life. Sometimes I wonder what I’d do without it, it’s like a piece off my brain. So my last phone of two years was treated with utmost love while it lasted. One other thing common in japan apart from owning an iPhone (thank you SoftBank) is the fact that you dress your phone in the most ‘YOU’ way possible. So yes I was influenced by it and obviously in awe of the cutest phone covers ever that I dressed up my phone differently every week. But when I was changing my phone to the newer version I realized I don’t even remember how my old phone looked without a cover… And I just didn’t like that.
So I made my mind up to not use a cover on my new phone. I named it batman and I adore it so much. 🙂
But just going around stores and even via Facebook and the internet in general I couldn’t help notice how designers and high street fashion is moving towards a product market that is being conveniently named “Tech Accessories “.

Here’s a guide on Tech Accessories tweeted by the official twitter page of Icing.

You would be surprised to know that almost every fashion name in the market has wondered into the tech accessories market (I was surprised!).

Abercrombie & Fitch

Michael Kors

Forever 21

Louis Vuitton

Kate Spade

Marc by Marc Jacobs

After having dropped my poor batman for the past 6 months many a times in a variety of different places starting from the sidewalks to the entrance at Giorgio Armani I started fearing for the life of my phone. Many teeny-weeny scratches and everyone around me telling me I should get a cover for it before I kill it I opened my mind up to find the suitable cover to represent me. I was searching for one for the past month I guess but nothing really blew my mind away. My rule of shopping is that whatever it is that I buy should be able to make me feel all happy especially the ones I carry around everyday. So I was in the lookout for that cover that makes me smile every time I see it. A random search online revealed what became the perfect cover for moi phone. I just needed to make sure it was not made of that cheap plastic material that always cuts my hand *sigh* And Thank God it was not! 😀 *happy dance*

OK!! Now show-off time… 😀

My cover 🙂

Making a Statement

Making a Statement

Statement necklaces have been around for a while but suddenly I see a large influx of them in most stores from Tony Burch to Kate Spade to  Zara to Forever 21. Paired with the right clothes they sure do make a good statement. I suddenly had an urge to try them out so I went on an adventure. I tried Zara first, I liked their collection but nothing really caught my eye. Also, I wasn’t really sure whether I will really wear them and whether they would suit my hijab. Therefore I decided to first buy a few not-so-daring ones to start off my experiment and found 3 from forever 21.

Now I think they are pretty cool and totally glam up your super comfy plain clothes. The negative for me is that it is quite heavy on the neck and matching my hijab right is also quite a mission.

A few different kinds of statements you can make.

This one was gorgeous and if your into the snaky look its perfect! (But I am terrified of snakes).

Middle : Clustered Faceted Stone Collar Necklace

Right : Geometric Rhinestone Cut-Out Bib Necklace

If you  do not like the whole loud neck pieces, you can choose something more subtle and glittery like this one from Tony Burch. They look really pretty paired with almost anything.

Here one way I paired one of my necklace.

Look 1: I paired a ZARA OFF-WHITE ECRU LONG DRESS WITH LACE TRIMMING  with this mint necklace from forever 21 (with my black tights and hijab of course)
