What’s in my current everyday makeup bag

What’s in my current everyday makeup bag

Everytime I have to travel somewhere within the country for a few days and pack my makeup bag for the same I’m in a dilemma. I mean I can carry more than I can during an international travel since there’s no weight restrictions however I still don’t want to be carrying half my stash so a tough decision has to be made. This is when I realized that I always reach out for my everyday favorites. These are the ones I use a lot during that time period. The makeup I can’t live without.
Since I just got back from my staycation this weekend I thought I’ll put together this post with what makeup I carried with me.
These are my everyday absolute favorites that I reach out for every time I need to do my makeup.

Huda Beauty Palette
I genuinely love and use this palette a lot. The colors are warm toned and suit my style. However what I love most about it is that it has everything you need for an eye look in one palette. I could make many looks using just the shades in this one palette and that’s ideal while traveling. You can read my full review of this palette HERE. Also I wanted some sparkly eyes during the holidays so I chose this one instead of my all time too faced natural matte palette which is smaller in size and travel friendly too.

Chanel foundation
This is my go-to everyday foundation. Given that I don’t wear foundation everyday or any day I don’t have to, this is the one I reach out for when I just want a light base to do my makeup on. It’s super light-weight and gives a sheen light coverage that can be built up on which I hardly ever do.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure Primer
This again is one of my all time favorites. I don’t like wearing makeup without it because it lets me deal with less foundation and a flawless finish. Link to my detailed review of this primer HERE.

Bobbi Brown Brow Gel
Just to keep those hairs in place so I don’t have an ugly brow.

Nyx ‘The Curved’ Eyeliner
I am felt liner kinda girl and this one is a hit with me. I always reach out for this Nyx liner to do my wing. Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy.

Beauty Blender
I legit have no idea how to do my makeup without this beauty. You can always read my rave on it HERE.

Champagne Pop by Becca Cosmetics
I joined the bandwagon late on this Becca x Jaclyn Hill Collab and I am addicted now. The glow is real and my current favorite for sure. This girl is all about the glitter and glow! 🤗

Stila Smudge Stick Eyeliner in ‘Stingray’
I picked this up during my little adventure at Boots. This one is my trustworthy waterline companion for a long summer day. We good like that! 😛

MAC Fix+
My dry skin issues are dealt with spritz of mac fix++. I love this one to the moon and back. Cannot imagine life without.

These are some of my current favorites? What are yours?

Reviewing My Go-to Palette| Too Faced Natural Matte

Reviewing My Go-to Palette| Too Faced Natural Matte

Today I have finally decided to review my go-to, love-palette of my life. 😀 **fireworks** **because I am finally updating something** 😛

The first thing I ever thought of this palette was how soft and buttery the shadows felt on my fingers and then I knew I’m gonna really really like this one. Me at Sephora is a very nerve-wrecking scenario. I mean I am usually smart(or I would like to believe) but every time I am at that makeup heaven (for the lack of a better word) I have my head spinning with lust that I forget my wish list and end up creating a whole new one on the spot ( y’all can imagine what that leaves me at).
I looked at the sample of this palette with puppy eyes at the already crowded counter and as I outstretched my arm to grab myself a palette, there were 2 other ladies who grabbed it at almost the same time as me. Thank god they had stock and these two random ladies and the salesperson saying “that seems popular” gave me enough reason to take it all the way to the cash counter and purchase this palette.
To be honest this has been the only palette I’ve never regret buying. I’ve used it so much that I might hit pan soon and that is a rare for me. The colors are so basic and in the real world that’s what you need mostly.

The tin packaging is very cute, the lingerie inspired design is chic and overall easy to use.

The palette has 3 highlighter shades and 6 eyeshadows. All are matte shades therefore even the supposed highlighters can be used as you like.

Whoever is coming up with the names for the Too-Faced palette shadows needs to be high-fived like over and over again. I’d say give her(or him) a raise but I don’t want to be putting people in the spot here.
Anyways I love them.
There is almost no fall off, the shadows feel soo buttery I can’t get over it.
The palette is a combination of both warm and cool-toned shades however has more cool shaded ones. The pigmentation is really good but I feel the warm toned shadows have more pigmentation than the cool toned ones. However I really don’t mind that since I like using my cool-toned shades light-handedly.

My absolute favorite is ‘honey butter’ which is obviously also the most used shadow in my palette followed by ‘chocolate cookie’, ‘strapless’ and ‘sexpresso’. Such cheesy names by the way.

This is one palette that I can use more than half he shadows during one makeup look which is so versatile.

With the right many shades packed very practically into a light packaging of the right size, this one is perfect to carry with you when travelling too.

The palette comes with a 3-steps guide and is designed to give 3 different kinds of makeup looks; ‘Day’, ‘Classic’ and ‘Fashion’.

The price point is at $34 when I purchased it last year and I as far as I know it’s still the same.

Top : Heaven, Cashmere Bunny and Sexpresso

Middle: Lace Teddy, Strapless and Risque

Bottom: Nude, Honey Butter and Chocolate cookie

Do you have this palette? Is it on your wish list? What do you think of it? Let me know in a comment below. 🙂

Have a great weekend. Xx

February, March & April Favorites

February, March & April Favorites

I know! I know! I’ve been MIA from my beloved blog for the longest time in so many years. However let me save the excuses, the rants and other things for a completely different post/s and go right into sharing some of the amazing products that I’ve been enjoying over the last 3 months.img_7964

Starting from left to right…
I did mention during my Sephora Haul how finding the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation was hard. It was a foundation I’ve wanted for the longest time and every single time I did find it at the store my shade was always out of stock. It took some time to lay my hands on it but the wait was sure worth it. It’s extremely light weight, very light coverage can can be built up for a more medium-ish coverage if you would want. It’s just the way I like my foundation to be; there but not there. 😏 It’s been my saving grace for the times(which is most of the times) when I needed to use a base on my face for the rest of my makeup to flow through but didn’t want anything heavy and thick.IMG_3996

I’ve been on a serious mastering my signature light makeup look over the last few months and what I’ve found compliments this look in all honesty is this gorgeous shade of brown from the Benefit its real eye liner line. Every time I want to go for an eye look that is not the regular intense black I see myself reaching out to this fab product. Head over HERE to read my full review on this one.

One of my bestie from uni used to always tell me threaten me to wear some mascara and bat those lashes and I was always lazy just because I hate having to take over mascara. Honestly guys it’s one of the most annoying things to do especially when you end up plucking off half your feathery grown lashes on the process. However being the true makeup lover that I am I ended up convincing myself the true value of mascara. Enough of this rant, the Maybelline Big Eyes mascara ,is something ive had in my stash for a long time but never really gave much credit, in its remaining glory has been very much helpful in designing my lashes the way I need it to be lately. Love ! Love!IMG_5720

Follow my blog or my Instagram you’ve probably figured out my love for MAC lipsticks. I find them so justifiable for their price and the product they offer in comparison to some of the others I end up flushing my money on. Mocha from MAC has probably been featured on my favorites post time and again and I couldn’t help but share once more my love for it. It’s just too perfect and I will soon need a replacement.

Removing makeup is a task and this raved about product is as awesome as it gets. The Bioderma makeup removing solution is so gentle and easy to use and I’m glad I found it. It is a drugstore product but since I purchased it in Japan I had to pay almost as much (or a bit more) as I did for my MAC eye and lip makeup remover so I’m not really digging the price however given the quantity and quality I guess it’s not too bad.

A few weeks back I was gushing on my Instagram on how cute this Jimmy Choo sample size bottle is. A few weeks later I’m gushing not just about its cuteness but also about how amazing it smells. It’s slightly more muskier than the usual smells I tend to go for but it sure is interesting and I’ve been loving the change. I’m still not sure if I’d want a full size given my tendency to get bored with scents too soon but right now I’m totally loving it.img_7223

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts on them? Let me know in a comment below, you know I love to hear! 😀

With a promise to myself of getting back to my usual schedule of posting 3 times a week or at least 6 posts a month heres me signing off this post.

Toodles lovelies! Xx
